Is the 3808 back down to $1999? On the last thread about the new players a dealer reported that the MSRP had been set at $2499. Good news if correct -- that is one hell of a player.

The website lists the price as $2K, so I think the earlier thread got some bad info.

Is this the first player we have seen with both decoding and bitstreaming of DTS-HD MA? The spec sheet on the link reads this way to me. If so i hope this sparks a trend. Looks like a pretty sweet player to me.

Yes it is, plus the Realta Video processor, which is the big brother to the Reon processor that the A35 Toshiba uses. Much better!!!!
