The reactions from audiences are better. A- cinemascore, 71% RT audience.

I see the tomatometer is low, but it's hard to take it seriously after Central Intelligence was giving a lot of positive reviews.

The movie made me finally buy Mud (McConaughey and Jacob Lofland are both in this)which I've been meaning to see for awhile.

I enjoyed this. Perhaps I'm biased because I'm a native Jones Countian. Not to mention, my former neighbor has a role as one of Newt's men and can be seen raising the American flag in Ellisville. It's not a perfect film, but the performances are solid and it's a fascinating story.

Saw this when it was released. Didn't like it. Found a little slow and not very interesting despite the compelling subject matter.

Site reviewer gave this a much better review than most of the critical establishment. Has me tempted to pick it up when it drops to the $10 range.

Decent movie, but too long. Some of it is quite good, some of it is waaaay too by the numbers. If anything, I like it more than I should have simply because of my love of civil war history.

Holy cow - this is one of the clearest, sharpest, most beautiful BDs I've seen. Amazing blacks, colors and razor sharp detail. They need to make a UHD BD out of it.
