Sammi Cheng: Touch Mi 2 4K UHD

Hong Kong Warner Music has released the new Sammi Cheng concert on 4K UHD Blu-ray.

Well someone had to post some info on this disc.....
I only know Sammi Cheng as an actress, and have never seen a concert of hers before. Had some gift card points on Amazon, so used them to buy this title which is spendy for sure, but I want to support Asian films and hope they release more on 4K UHD. Just showed up today.





I've watched around an hour or so, and I must say it looks fantastic! Filming in a darkened arena has to be pretty tough. There is all the effects with lighting and fog and it holds up very well. No damn compression issues, such as macroblocking, even the darker parts look great. I wish it would have had the option of English subtitles but then again not as big a deal when she is singing, even though I have no idea what she is saying I like some songs better than others, and the presentation of the extras, orchestra, singers, etc is really something. They really did a great job.

The main concert feature does have HDR, and some of the extras are also in 4K mixed with 1080p. The making of segment show a lot of behind the scenes and really shows you what Sammi goes through during a concert....no easy job for sure. She really is warm and friendly to her fans during the concert, as she gets up close and personal with many of them.

I was only listening via two channel, but didn't find it lacking at all in the sound dept.
Louis Koo makes an appearance which is fun, this is when I wish it had English subtitles.

I like how in the end credits they list the 4K UHD info, along with camera men, along with who did the HDR, etc on this disc.

So here is to Sammi Cheng for having one of the first, if not the first 4K UHD from Hong Kong!
