£21.50 pre-order on Amazon at the moment, but I'm still not sure on this one.

I need to catch up with the last few episodes, but the first few didn't blow me away at all.

I like it till now, interesting.

I am amazed by the fact that this is released so early after the broadcast. I know it often happens with UK series but not with US series. This is how it always should be in my humble opinion!

Will also be released in France & Germany in same month.

I'm glad that they have released this early. Australia's SyFy channel broadcast the show. I refused to watch it until there was a BRD release as it is broadcast in SD in our country. Glad there is a BRD release as if it was released only on DVD I would have boycotted the show.

Will pick it up from Amazon.UK after it's released.

Worth mentioning that spanish audio & subs are only available on Disc One & Two (One might wonder why they bothered to put them in at all)
Also worth mentioning: crappy menus, they didn't use the usual universal menus and that's a bummer.

Got this in the post earlier in the week, I'm all set and ready for a re-watch ahead of Season 2!!

(Also started playing the linked MMORPG too )

Really enjoyed the show and it's potential.
Love the trans-media aspect too!

Mine didn't have any.

Still, the web price isn't too bad.

Do you mean they used those awful "symbol" menus for this release?

Could someone tell me what the extras are like...

Reason: Purchased a UK copy of Spartacus: War of the Damned , because it was not being released in Australia for another 4 months. Really wanted to see it ASAP.
UK copy had no extras. Australian release does. Have not got around to watching it yet. Might just buy Aussie release and give UK release as a gift.

Might wait for Aussie Defiance BR release, if there are none or very few extras.

No extras from what I saw on my copy.
Problem I think with releasing it so soon after broadcast. I'm sure the US copy due out later in the year will have some.

According to the press release it should contain Deleted Scenes and a Gag Reel. Obviously someone with the disc would need to confirm this.

EDIT - According to the US Press Release just gone up on the site, it appears to have additional extra content not present on the UK Disc. Might be worth holding out for that release.

Yes, it has the stupid "symbol" menus. I always liked how (almost) all Universal releases used their standard menu, they are easy to use and you know ahead of time what you're getting. I doesn't make any sense for them to start using these menus, unless they are cheaper to make or something.

I can confirm there is only the Deleted Scenes (~11 min, HD) and a Gag Reel (~4 min, HD). They are on the last disc, you need to click the icon that looks like a star (*).

They enable the studio to get away with making just one master copy for all language territories and to hell with usability/comprehensability.

All 3 seasons are region free i checked my disc's to confirm that.
