I don't own any Shyamalan movies on UHD yet but I'll blind buy this. I'm guessing it'll be like the scene with the old woman from It drawn out over whole movie.

I went in (I think) not even knowing it was a Shyamalan production.

I believe this easily ranks among his best (for me that would be everything up to the final third of The Village but also leaving room for that exquisite finale to Lady in the Water). The acting is impeccable and the scares (and the gross-out moments!!) so delicious. When the kids Skype their mom right before the final act-- Oh man! So good.

And, to give Shyamalan credit, the ending is actually quite bittersweet (even more so the alternate ending).

A short, punchy and nasty little thing. An easy recommend for anyone wanting an upper tier M. Night Night.

What a time to be alive. So many titles announced lately that I thought would stay on Blu forever

From a purely technical perspective, this might be the least "deserving" movie to get a UHD upgrade since Attack of the Clones.

It was shot on the original Canon C300 in 8-bit, 4:2:2 1080p.

So not only is it not 4K but it's also not even 10-bit, which means no WCG and no HDR. It doesn't meet any of the three basic requirements for film to merit a UHD upgrade.

Expect this to be a microscopic upgrade over the blu-ray, if even that.

I feel like we missed a step where the Village gets a bluray.
