Default Bought new and sealed but with scratches

I probably have close to 3000 blu rays and recently I've been having problems with buying new ones only to find out that they have nothing but scratches. The discs aren't lose and I bought them new and sealed but once I opened the case, it surprises me to see scratches on the discs. I had to ask because it's been happening more often now than before. I just opened The Nice Guys that I bought in March and both the dvd and blu ray have major scratches. It concerns me because I'm unfortunately one of those who doesn't inspect my purchases and unwrap them until I'm ready to watch the movie. I've been told that there are many cases of people returning movies sealed but they've either taken away the digital copies or just watch the movie and return it afterwards after being able to seal them again.

Has this ever happened to you? Is it possible to exchange movies after the return/exchange period in cases like this? It's mostly happening on my BBY purchases.

If I've posted this on the wrong thread, please move it where it should be. Thanks!
