Question

Huh!?

Wonder how that 3D/2D got into the title of this thread...?

Can a mod change that, please? I don't think this will be 3D, at least it isn't mentioned as such @ Zavvi.

I've only seen the mail from Zavvi, their post on FB and the text on their page... 3D isn't mentioned anywhere there.

But if you have official marketing text with it included there is no need to remove it for now!

Been chatting to some other guys and they reckon the zavvi info in their text was a mistake so switching it back to normal.
Cheers

It was reported here https://fansided.com/2017/04/11/is-f...furious-in-3d/ but it is possible they got it wrong along with zavvi's marketing team. Have changed this back to a normal listing anyway

People in Australia are getting 3D showings of this, there is definitely a 3D version in a few countries.

I'll import if a 3D blu gets put out.

The below posts are from the 3D thread on this forum:

This came from Wikipedia.

If so, I wonder if we're getting it in 3D since Barbados showed Furious 7 3D for weeks.

I know it's a bit small, but you can still see it.

Thumbs up

So I guess that confirms it is bring released at least theatrically outside the US. Just remains to be seen if we get it either theatrically or on home release. Will be an import if not. Thanks Levcore

Because the UK still operates a business model where cinemas still get a 6 month exclusivity before retail sale of a title on BD or DVD. If a studio wants a shorter period they have to compensate the cinema owners by giving them a higher % of ticket sales because there is a belief the shorter the exclusivity the more people who won't go to the cinema and wait for the disk.

In the US and Australia they have reduced the window to a default 4 months.

It seems it is just UK and Europe which have stuck to the old longer period of exclusivity.
