Im slowly building my collection and constantly look on ebay. I cant understanD why people are paying soooo much money for these 3d blu rays (coraline, deep sea, monsters vs aliens etc..) when they are going to be available come November. I mean I saw the Imax deep sea go for $260
![]() Is there something Im missing. ![]() Last edited by SOLISIMO; 09-29-2010 at 01:03 AM. |

I spent $100 each for Coraline and Ice Age (new, was luckily outbid at $250 for used), but gotta say, Ice Age is reference quality 3D and Coraline is good 3D and a pretty cool flick to boot. the only idiots I know of in the 3D game are those who rushed out to buy expensive 3DTVs then watch the same one movie 1000 times and whine about the lack or price of content.
$2000-4000 for a tv but not $50-100 for a movie? I agree! idiots! |

afraid I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the definition of getting ripped off. my definition goes something like: if you spend several thousand dollars on a 3D setup and don't use it for 3D, you, my friend, were ripped off. enjoy your 2D for the price premium of 3D and don't forget to compare what you paid for your 3D set to what bigger, better 3D sets cost when more 3D content is generally available. the difference will be more than the cost of a few movies, even at inflated prices, this, I guarantee you ![]() |

change 'will' to 'may' unless I missed the official word that Coraline and Ice age will be in BB. in either case, $50-$35 = $15 = BFD. $100-$35 = $65 = oh well, better than letting my tv, glasses, and 3D Blu-ray player collect dust...no sense in having the hardware without the software and vice versa. now that I have a little collection going, I don't plan on bidding on anything until Avatar hits ebay. that one I'll probably have to shell out for unless the floodgates are truly open and I'll be able to pick up Pixars/Tron, etc in the near future. are you paying attention, Disney? |

A week or two ago Coraline was part of the 2 for 22 sale at bestbuy. And I got Cloudy w/ a Chance for 15 bucks in a B1G1 sale with another 30 dollar title at Deepdiscount. Sure maybe we got lucky with those sales. but most of these releases have hit 25 bucks at some point, which is close enough for me. I dont think a lot of these releases are selling GREAT enough to start discounting, and I also dont think they are selling POOR enough to start clearancing. So we just have to wait it out for a while and keep your eyes open for those sales.

Last week I got a copy of Resident Evil Afterlife 3D for $15 out the door at Best Buy ... Price Matched Ultimate Electronics ad for $18.95 and used the $5 off coupon I got from Salt ..
The Previous Week, I got the Step Up 3D for $17 out the gate ... again using Price Match from UE + the $10 off coupon .. This week Coraline 3D for $11.xx from BestBuy again like the poster above mentioned .. I agree that not every title goes below $20 but for atleast a few .. the deals are just out there for us to dig out I guess .. |
