Australia Trainspotting 2 Blu-ray & BR/UHD

First there was an opportunity......then there was a betrayal. Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Special features:
  • Commentary with Danny Boyle and John Hodge
  • 20 years in the Making - A Conversation with Danny Boyle and Cast (HD 24:49)
  • Calton Athletic Documentary Choosing Endorphines Over Addiction (HD 4:25)
  • Deleted Scenes (HD 30:11)

Not as good as the original (obviously) but IMO a very worthy sequel. Also the deleted scenes are hilarious, exsp the ones with Begbie & his lawyer!

I wanted to grab this today, but I didn't think it would be in store due to The Warehouse having a No R18 policy. But, they had tons of the DVD and Blu-Ray, and none of the 4K release.

Our NZ cover has an R16 rating actually printed on the cover. This is not that usual (even though this is Sony), as many Paramount titles have our ratings printed due to Paramount no longer having their own distribution center here.. what is unusual, I thought, was that it was R16 compared to the R18 it is in Australia.

That happens quite a bit... our OFLC tends to be harder on violence and the Aussie one is more uptight about sex and drugs.
