A newly restored director's cut of Francis Ford Coppola's 1984 film, The Cotton Club is due for release in select theaters starting next week.

Day one buy for me. Blu-ray for sure, 4k would be super.

Caught it this weekend. Aside from the Lionsgate logo at the start and additional credits tacked on after the old end credits, there isn't anything here that wasn't filmed in the early 80s - there was no de-aging involved in all the new material that has been incorporated. All those things were filmed back in the day.

This is easily one of Coppola's best movies, and even if it isn't quite as good as The Godfather, it is definitely one of the best films of the 1980s. Diane Lane obviously looks absolutely gorgeous, she was a teenager when they filmed. Nicolas Cage also looks super young.

Only regret is they couldn't book this at a Dolby or IMAX auditorium... but will still enjoy again on home video...

Sadly, it doesn't look like this will be expanding. It's an awesome experience to be able to watch this in a theater....
