Default Captain America is the best MCU "solo" saga so far

Too bad they didn't do a fourth chapter. It's terrible.

Captain America: The First Avenger is vastly superior to Thor 1, Hulk and even Homecoming. Without counting the lame first Ant-Man movie - which is essentially a flawed kid comedy.
I would dare to say that First Avenger easily beats "Wonder Woman", it's much more exciting and poignant.
Iron Man 1 has an amazing first half, but the second half is not as much brilliant as the first one.

The Winter Soldier is a celebrated masterpiece along caliber movies like X-Men: Days of Future Past and Logan.

Civil War is vastly superior to "Avengers: Age of Ultron". And, of course, it destroys Iron Man 3.

Thor was turned into a parody by the time Thor 2, Thor 3 and Avengers 2 rolled out. I would say that all 4 Avengers movies gave Captain America a prominent role and a superb story-arc.

I will miss Steve, definitely.

Because it's a cool thread about the entire Captain America saga, now that it's over.

While I enjoy Thor, although I’m not a big fan of Dark World as it’s at the bottom of my MCU list, and really all the MCU movies (Homecoming is a favorite), I do have to agree that the Cap entries are the strong points for me. I never had much affinity for Cap going into the MCU, but he became my favorite by a long shot, and I’m worried about my continued interest in the MCU now that he and Tony are gone. But . . . I was never interested in Thor or Ant Man, but these movies made me a fan, so . . . We’ll see what happens.

I think that without Steve and Tony, the MCU is 100% done. We'll see anyway.

No because I think that the Captain America solo movies deserve a standalone "cumulative" thread. Here we go.

Couldn't agree more. Cap is the heart of the MCU. Him and Iron Man are what holds the MCU together and without them....it's never gonna be the same.

Shame because it was i only about 5 years ago when Cap really started to shine (Winter Soldier).

Both Winter Soldier and Civil War are movies that should be watched to appreciate Infinity War and Endgame to their fullest.

Captain America: The First Avengers is still excellent even today. This scene defined Cap the best. I loved the pulpy action movie vibe the movie had.

I agree with what you said about TWS and Civil War.

That's America's ass.

BTW, I, too, concur that Cap's is the strongest trilogy, but disagree that The First Avenger is "vastly superior" to the first Thor. I give it a slight edge, but Thor is a better movie than most people give it credit for.

imo the first two are ok/decent and Civil War is excellent, though not quite as good as Age of Ultron.

Yeah the Cap trilogy is the best CBM trilogy and it’s really not even close.

Yeah the Cap trilogy crushes the Iron Man and Thor trilogies.

The only MCU trilogy that stands a chance at topping the Cap trilogy is MAYBE the Spider-Man Home trilogy. Guardians might have a slim chance if the third one sticks the landing(cue the Vol. 2 is a masterpiece crowd).

Oh, and I loved the fact that Captain America changed so many uniforms throughout the 3 solo movies and the 4 Avengers movie.

In what dreamworld? This movie sucked pretty hard! Terrible story and was by far worse than the other solo films.
