So I've had my 65" KS8000 for about three months now and I was kind of hoping I would get used to the edge lighting/local dimming and extreme blooming but I can't. I watch most movies at night in a pitch black room and the second something bright appears at the bottom of the screen it shoots a huge washed out gray line up the entire screen.
I don't see how more people aren't talking about this. Rtings said the KS8000 was their most recommended TV of 2016 and everyone seems to love it, but I can't get over the edge lighting. I've tried turning the local dimming down, but it's still very noticeable. I've also tried turning the setting off, but then all the blacks just look washed out/gray. Thinking about returning it and spending a couple extra hundred for the new Sony X900E which has full array back lighting. I'm aware there will still be some blooming but I can't see it being as bad as this. Anyone have any recommendations or ideas? |
