I have an Apple TV (4th Gen) and I found an issue with TV complete series that I redeemed from iTunes codes from when using this app. It will show in Up Next row and will say "Continue" with a progress bar for the episode I'm currently watching. However, when I click on the picture of the current episode, it will give me a choice of where I want to watch it, then I choose iTunes, then it takes my to the episode's picture with the rest of the season in iTunes. However, here is the issue, the episode still shows the purchase price and when I click on the episode it gives me and option to purchase. However, I already own the complete series in iTunes. Is this because I redeemed the TV series from a code instead of purchasing directly from the iTunes store? Does this not work for TV shows bought or redeemed as a complete series? For movies I'm currently watching in iTunes, the TV app works fine.

Update: The TV app sort of works with The Wire (redeemed from a code as a complete series through iTunes). When I click on the picture of a current watched episode of The Wire in the home page of the Apple TV it will try to resume the episode but it will end up with an error message saying "an error occurred loading this content." I have to click on Ok then it will just show the picture of the episode I'm currently watching, then I click on the picture and it will show the price of the episode instead of resuming. However if I go to under Up Next in the Watch Now section of the TV app it will resume the episode, so that's what I mean with sort of works with the TV app. I also noticed that the iTunes store sells The Wire as a compelete series in addition to sell the seasons separately but the other complete series TV shows that are in my iTunes account, iTunes does not sell as a complete series, and those are the ones that don't get recognized as purchased and I must manually search for the episode in my iTunes library to resume an episode for those TV shows. The other 2 TV shows I have in my iTunes account as a complete series redeemed from codes are The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire and these the iTunes store does not sell as a complete series even though they redeemed as a complete series in my iTunes account. I also get a checkmark for the episodes I watched from The Wire but not the other 2 TV shows for the episodes I watched in my iTunes account. I was talking to iTunes tech support about the issue I was having with TV shows in the TV app over the phone but 15 minutes later I hung up because I got tired of waiting while the guy was checking something with my account. These TV shows were redeemed from iTunes codes that came packaged with the Blu-rays but it can't be because they were redeemed from codes because The Wire sort of works with the TV app. Maybe it's because the other 2 TV shows I have in my iTunes account are not sold as a complete series in the iTunes store? The only thing the TV app does properly for those other 2 TV shows in my account is showing my what episode I'm currently watching or the next episode after I'm done watching the currently episode, but I must manually go to the episode through my iTunes library to resume the episode for those 2 other TV shows.
