I spoke worth Universal Sony Australia earlier today, and was told that there is a listing in their database for the 4K UHD version of Terminator 2, currently due out on the 4th of October.

Crazy how many times this has been released over the years on various home video formats. My first and most nostalgic viewing of the film was in the front row at the theater as a little kid when it was released. The last blu was arguably pretty decent, but there's certainly room for improvement.

Honestly, I made my peace with anything he was gonna do to T2 after seeing the fixes he did on Aliens and Titanic. I fully expected that he was gonna do some tweaks to T2, I always wanted to see them damned windows put back in but I initially thought that they'd be too intensive to redo. Certainly not impossible yet a lot of work for such a short little shot.....but el Cameroon proved me wrong.

The face replacement is what it is, as long as those are done without making the face look like a frickin' zombie or a waxwork then I don't mind them. If/when we get True Lies then Arnie's face getting pasted over the super blatant stunt double in the mansion escape is practically a lock.

There's a sizzle reel on the website and it looks pretty fantastic albeit highly compressed and possibly DNR'd to garbage but I'm optimistic.
