Carson McCullers' Books & Screen Adaptations

I would really like to see some of Carson McCullers' books that have been adapted to the screen released on Blu-ray.

Stuff like:

THE BALLAD OF THE SAD CAFE
REFECTIONS IN A GOLDEN EYE
THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER (mentioned in other threads)
THE MEMBER OF THE WEDDING

All of these are classics, and really deserve the 1080p treatment.

I believe THE BALLAD OF THE SAD CAFE was released by Criterion on DVD at one point, but is now long out of print...I could be wrong though.

Does anyone know if Criterion released this on DVD at one point ?...Cuz if they did, I'll write to them to see if they can get it released on Blu-ray (I just want to know 1st if they even have a print of it before I waste my time requesting a Blu-ray release from them).
