It probably came from a distributor list, or a retailer jumped the gun.

Either way, I’m surprised this is getting a double dip considering the other MGM titles they’ve released in the past that you’d think would come first.

This was a fun movie so I'd be interested depending on what this new version has to offer. Also love seeing all the claims that Shout and MGM were done blown away.

I was eleven when this was new,
and for some reason mom would not take me to the the drive in to see this Hammer.
I was not a happy adolescent, and had to wait toooooo long to see it on TV
and even long to see it unexpurgated.

I guess I'll wait to see what the transfer difference is. I don't recall the Shout release looking much worse than most of their subsequent releases, but I haven't watched it in years. The "extra decapitation footage" was included in the Anolis release and if I remember right consisted of about .5 seconds in low quality. I mean, they should still include it, but I hardly think it's exciting enough to re-buy the film over, unlike something like the extra disintegration/seduction footage in the non-Warner releases of Horror of Dracula.

This is one of the best Hammer movies, IMO. I like Twins of Evil and this more than most of the proper Hammer "Dracula" movies.

Was this the disc that had the preposterous Madeline Smith interview in which she claimed she almost lost the job for having tiny boobs, so she drank a whole bunch of milk, which alone led her to becoming as endowed as you see in this movie??
