Target in US is releasing Stranger Things on Blu-Ray anything on the horizon for us ?

How can overseas fans even get this. Why only release this massively popular show in US

Actually, it shouldn't be surprising that a US release for a US TV series is coming before anywhere else. This isn't being handled by Disney, you know.

It appears that Netflix are releasing this themselves, which could be good news or bad news depending on who is authoring the discs and what specifications they are using. The non-announcement of the release, so close to the purported release date, is also mystifying, so right now, everything is in limbo, until people in the States get copies in-hand.

For international releases, I expect that Netflix will eventually find a distribution partner, if they haven't already. The smart money says it will probably be a multi-territory deal with one of the majors, like Sony or Universal, or possibly StudioCanal for the UK/France/Germany. This would be easier than cutting through all the red tape to set up physical distribution in the EU, and surely the title is enough of a valued property to interest the big boys, anyway.

In any event, I'm sure this is just a natural prelude to international releases, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I should think so. Since Netflix never releases viewing figures, I can only assume that all of the "big" Netflix shows thus far have gotten Blu-ray/DVD releases. Certainly, all the ones I've heard of have.

And this show is a powerhouse. Probably their most succesful one. A lot of people want this on Blu-Ray
