I like how HMV keeps getting the 4K versions of titles lol. I guess Zavvi needs to catch on.

If they would just ship world wide zavvi would loose alot of business + they dont ship from an island just outside UK that other european customs don't like as zavvi does... I used to buy ALOT from zavvi but that have slowed down quite a bit in 18 due to customs and bad customer service.

I prefer the standard box art, so I pre-ordered the standard.

No way, that’ll leave many of us in the US without some great steelbooks. Group buys for HMV orders are not always guaranteed. Besides, I’ve had very few “problems” with Zavvi in the 5 years I’ve been buying from them.

Negative...that would make Group Buys the only option for overseas steels and they're insanely overpriced. HMV needs to ship to the U.S.!

HMV are on verge of going into administration for second time

Not sure what it means for Steelbook orders, I myself have Venom & Aquaman on order with them.

Don’t suppose you remember if they issued refunds? They take payments as soon as you order.

Over 2000 at risk. Nothing concrete yet but the signs aren’t good.

This is the first I have ever heard of any of this. So what does all this mean exactly? They could possibly close?

There’s already a long thread here discussing this.
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...6#post15914576

At the moment they have stopped new sales via they website. No idea when or if it will reopen.

Retail sales in their stores are continuing for now.

Last time they went into administration 6 years ago the website was closed with all open orders including pre-orders nullified. The new owners Hilco didn’t reopen the website for over a year when they started it in its current guise from scratch.

Sounds like they needed to start shipping internationally again like Zavvi does to boost sales. I'd import a lot of things from them that Zavvi doesn't end up getting.

The amaray market is surely dead in the stores.

International selling and special packaging is better. Doing toys and statues and movie paraphernalia would be good too.

If you just sell blu ray and DVD in plastic cases its not enough to entice me.
