Freedom (1982)

Anyone seen this hard-to-find Scott Hicks film from 1982? It starred Jon Blake and the late Jad Capelja. I believe it was filmed around the Adelaide area.

Curiosity led me to hunt it down but I've had no luck. I couldn't find it in rental stores, libraries or eBay. It was released here on DVD presumably some years back by Umbrella Entertainment, however they no longer have the rights/copies and it's OOP as far as they are concerned.

For those who have seen it, is it good? I hate downloading, but if I can't find it to purchase or at least rent, it seems like that might become my only option.
