Default Pokemon Quest - Switch/Smartphone

- easy to use via phone taps or joycons
- “action RPG”
- focus is on training Pokemon, exploration

A new Pokémon game has been announced, but it's not the new core-RPG Pokémon game we've been expecting.

Pokémon Quest is the name, it's developed by core-RPG studio Game Freak, it's set to be released on both the Nintendo Switch and smartphones.

It features new visuals, such as "Pokécells", which are cute blocky animations of familiar Pokémon.

The game can be controlled entirely from touchscreen, or with regular controls and TV mode on the Switch.

The news comes direct from a press conference held by the Pokémon Company International (TPCI) in Tokyo, Japan today, where the media were promised information on "new ways of playing Pokémon".

I'll give it a download for the heck of it but I can't imagine myself paying money to play.

I’m only on the second zone or whatever but I’m enjoying the game quite a bit. You just have to think of it for what it is.

I’m on the fourth. I’d be further along but my batteries keep needing to be recharged and I’d rather wait it out than pay.

If you don’t mind playing the waiting game, this is 100% free. I don’t understand the people that pay money, I guess they value their time over their wallet.
I’d rather just turn the game off for a few hours and go back to a fully recharged battery.

So the battery does recharge in real time while the game is off? Good, I wasn’t sure.

How many Pokémon does everyone have entered into your Pokédex in this game? I currently have 32.

I’m at 36. My team is Alakazam, Onix and Charizard. I was using a Ryhorn with Crunch until I scored a Lv 70 Charmandar.

Finished 8 full worlds, have just the boss left on 9 and then 3 more stages on 10.

It’s really freaking hard to get a Gastly. There’s no ghost-type recipe so I’m trying poison, but I seem to be getting everything except Gastly. I’m currently at 114 Pokémon and this whole “random chance” thing with the cooking pot is annoying me. It says I played for “75 hours or more” and I still haven’t got all the Pokémon yet.
