I got tickets and this will be my first time going. Curious about movie exclusives and or steelbooks. Anyone who has previously been there is there lots of vendors selling steelbooks and are there a lot of exclusives? Thanks for any info!!7

https://www.google.com/search?q=fox+...=lnms&tbm=isch Unfortunately, they tend to be quite high priced (~$20) for more or less a new slipcover and the existing discs. They do look nice though! This year they also sold an exclusive Deadpool blu-ray signed by Ryan Reynolds (and I think they even gave a Deadpool VHS to the first few people in line each day) Other than that, I don't recall many other exclusives at the show |

Shout Factory usually has some recent releases for sale, along with a few "out of print" ones. They tend to sell upcoming releases early at comic con (Hackers for instance, was sold a month early at the show). Their prices do tend to be high though.. I think $25-30, but often have bonus items like posters at the show. Troma sells their DVD/Blu-Ray titles, but again at higher prices. I think they were going for $20 DVD and $30 Blu-Ray last I checked.. the nice thing is that Lloyd Kaufman is usually there to sign them if you want. One of the Asylum/Syfy type vendors is usually there with a bunch of titles, but nothing special. Decent prices but not very good movies. Fox tends to have the special edition stuff and some preorders Funimation is usually there with Anime, but their prices are very high (MSRP). There are also usually independent vendors with movies.. the good ones tend to not have much anymore, while there are plenty of people selling bootleg DVDs of old TV shows for crazy prices ($20 per disc) I don't recall much in terms of exclusives over the last few years |

Mondo's booth is very low-key in appearance and is easy to miss. They tend to be located in what I call "No-Man's-Land" with a lot of independent retailers or publishers with very small booths. At least one year that I went, I didn't know they had a booth until after the show. Even though I make it a point to walk down every aisle at SDCC, Mondo wasn't on my radar yet so I just completely walked by them. Heck, even other years I've gone and wanted to find them I've missed their booth until I checked the map. |

Looks like there will be some Vinyl + bluray combos this year from Fox. Not as good as last years Ryan Reynolds signed blurays but still something cool. The list is

Have a great time. It is a blast. I have another buddy linking up with more experienced attendees for his first time. If you are into collectibles and have a Preview Night ticket I would try and knock out Hasbro and possibly Mattel (If you didn't preorder from Mattel) that night. Hasbro does a damn raffle year after year and I've heard that the line has now been moved to outside during normal days. My wife and I had it down to a science by the time we stopped going in 2010. Again, have a great time and use Pikachu's ass as a meet up point. You'll understand that last one once you get there
