I've got the 2K Blu-ray and I'll happily upgrade to the 4K UltraHD.

I wish they could get Rainbow Harvest ("Megan Gordon") and Kristin Dattilo ("Nikki Chandler") for a interview/commentary.

just resorted to overpaying on eBay as it looks like it may not even be in stock anymore when the site comes up? I don't know enough about how many copies Dark Forces makes of things but this already seems in demand so I'd rather not miss out.

I know it's too late for you but I would be very surprised if this is sold out. A few members (myself included) are still waiting for their pre-orders to ship.

Where was it stated that Dark Force won’t have any more stock? The DF website is frequently down and this isn’t selling out anytime soon.

it wasn't stated it was sold out anywhere. I had just looked at comments on their FB and that other items of theirs were OOP. That combined with a lot of folks seeming to want this I got fomo'd.

it also didn't help I couldn't find the actual MSRP pricing of what this was going for anywhere because DF site was down and there was no pricing on their Facebook.

Was on the fence with this one, but the slipcover being gone after this availability period (and watching a trailer on YouTube) sold me. Gotta have it.

If you're willing to buy the movie from a different retailer what's wrong with buying it direct? It is more support for the company and if they were shady there would all kinds of posts on the thread.

The disc looks great.

Audio is 2.0 Stereo and the film was released in Ultra Stereo format, but I have to admit the audio of sound effects can be really annoying. Perhaps that’s how the mix always was.

I played in 2.0 Stereo in Dolby Surround mode thru part, but the audio sounded really odd that way so I switched to pure Direct for the 2.0 which made is a bit less odd sounding.

Hope we can get Part II - always heard that one was insane.

It's a weird one (which is saying something for this series), with a surprisingly stacked cast for a direct-to-video movie (as someone already mentioned), including Mark Ruffalo in his film debut, though he's barely recognizable compared to the actor we're familiar with today. Veronica Cartwright is great, as usual, as a blind nun. II was available on Night Flight's streaming service for a long time, but I'm not sure if it is now.

Well it's funny that you should say that because after a simple reddit search last night it turns out the owner of the site is a shady dude with a bad reputation. The website/store itself is not shady, but he seriously is a weird guy. Just google David Defalco.

Still i took the chance in the case of this movie. It turns out the reason they are discontinuing the slipcover version is due to the fact it says blu ray+uhd on it. As this 4k only comes with the 4k disc and not a 1080p copy as well. Thought you guys should know that.
