Took advantage of some really good 3D deals this year. Saw some deals I should have waited for. No more purchasing when a movie is released, unless it's a must-have favorite that I "need" right away! UK imports especially are my best friend, they generally go down quite nicely in price when I'm patient with Amazon's wish list and they don't suffer the same availability issues we can see in North America.

Bought the PSVR for my PS4, which features every game with strong stereo 3D, and supports blu ray 3D playback too with the PSVR headset. Plenty of stereo 3D games to experience and enter like no TV can do, where the game fully surrounds you everywhere you turn your head. That said, I still prefer watching a blu ray 3D on my 3DTVs for their resolution advantage.
Will continue to see new stereo 3D movies in theaters since they first started reappearing with Open Season in 2006 (I don't remember that being in 3D in my area theaters back then) and Beowulf 3D 2007, which I remember was one of my first stereo 3D theater experiences outside of Imax 3D at the theme parks/museums. Looking forward to hopefully more theatrical 3D movies hitting blu ray 3D in the US and worldwide. |

Well, during most of 2017 I finished building up my collection of North American 3-D discs I was interested in but hadn't been an priority, as well as quite a few European 3-D releases.
In 2018, I'm hoping to focus more on Chinese/Hong Kong releases, which is the last major gap in my collection. |

sticking with 3D (when & where available) & standard blu-ray
not gonna jump on the 4k ship - sometimes gets tempting but not gonna do it just more planned obsolescence & eventually you have to say "no" to the tech world with your wallet might as well wait for 8k or whatever is coming down the pike after 4k they screwed us over with 3D, so I'm bitter ;-) |

Bought a 144hz 3D capable pc monitor, after enjoying years of watching 3D movies on my tv, I now plan on getting into 3D gaming. Now that I have a powerful pc.
Would really love to look into getting a 4K 3D tv, dunno if that'll happen during 2018, but would be nice! |

My sole resolution is to watch what I have. I've collected lots of good 3D titles now--if more get released in '18, then great, I'll buy them. But I won't be hunting for them as heavily as I did over the past few years.
