Upper Floor Apartment HT

Time is running out for me to find a new place by the end of the month. I am looking at houses and apartments. There is a fairly new, modern apartment quadraplex that I am interested in but there are only upper level units available. There are 2 different buildings, one with tile floor living room and the other with carpet (which I have grown to detest). I would like some advice or to hear some experiences people have concerning living above or even below with a modest HT system. I don't want to be that @sshole neighbor but I really want to enjoy my system. I am going through a break-up and have tons of movies my ex refused to watch that I need to catch up on!
