Amazon independent sellers - Blu-ray Forum

I don't know if this has been asked before, but for most blu-rays on Amazon have third-party sellers selling the movie for like $10. Is it safe to buy from these people? I mean most of them are like "stores" and not really people just trying to get rid of their blu-rays. Are they bootlegs?

Chances are that they are just previously viewed copies.

As with ebay it depends. I have bought rare CDs that turned out to be cheap chinese bootlegs. But I've also bought DVD boxsets and books with no problem. But you're pretty save with amazon. If something doesn't ship the way it was described contact the reseller. If that doesn't work out amazon will help you out. I ordered a book once that never arrived and they refunded the money (amazon, not the reseller).

But since Blu-ray cannot bo bootlegged so far I think you're safe anyway

I sell on there, you are protected with the A_Z guarnatee just like the above thread said. Basically the item is advertised and if the seller fails to deliver or you dont think it was described accurately they will guarantee the item with a refund. Its up to Amazon who funds the credit, If they decide the seller is at fault they will take the money from them.

This has created alot of fraud on there, everything I mail has a d/c # and people still say they didnt receive it. I get 10-15 emails a week from people saying they never received there stuff , I email the tracking, showing delivery, they never respond back.

I sell on Amazon myself as well. I actually just sold 10 items last night. All of them are already packed up and in the mailbox. Most sellers are good.. then again there are some bad apples.

Word of advice, if you do buy from a seller on Amazon - be kind and leave feedback. I have sold about 50 items and not one person has left me feedback yet. Sucks. But oh well right?

I like Amazon better than Ebay. No muss, no fuss and just a lot easier to deal with.

Oh yeah I've been using Amazon for quite some time now and I always leave detailed feedback. I also agree that Amazon is better than Ebay, because there's too many con-artists on Ebay.

I am a third party seller.

Just make sure to check the sellers feedback rating and comments. The closer a sellers rating is to 100%, the better!
