Remake and/or Re-Issue: The Naked Jungle - Blu-ray Forum

I wish to suggest that there are a LOT of influential people that pay passing interest to our Forum here at Blu-ray.com and therefore would like to suggest that it is time for two things to happen:
1. That the original George Pal film "The Naked Jungle" is due for some love and a BD is significantly overdue, and
2. I think a re-make of this film, with the calibre of devotion the story-line deserves, would be appropriate.
Considering the deluge of 'killer shark' movies has, IMHO, long ago reached saturation, perhaps it's time to invigorate life in another beastie.
There will be obstacles to pursuing a remake, but if a new story-line was pursued based on the Richard Matheson short story "Leningen vs the Ants" then it could become a viable project.
Yes, I know a 'McGyver' episode was made that stole excerpts from the original and there was another 'killer ant' made for tv movie ( name escapes me but I saw it and it was painful to watch) but it could work if done with the seriousness of the original.
Well, just another idea to throw out there on the bonfire of well meant thoughts.
