It actually surprised me how heartwarming this film was. Nothing like that annoying trailer.

I just watched Last Vegas, I thought the film was very good. I'd recommend it.

I was wishing for a Christopher Walken cameo appearance.

It's a good, nice movie but I wouldn't give it a 4.5 - in a couple months, this film will be as memorable as Grumpy Old Men.

I'm a huge Michael Douglas fan (everything from his big budget flicks to smaller titles such as 'Solitary Man' but I would rate this as possibly his worst movie ever. I also thought the film was garbage. I might appreciate it when I'm 70 years old tho.
Quite frankly, I cannot believe the 4.5 rating this film has been given

This movie was exactly what it looked like. 90 minutes or so of viagra jokes and "let's teach these young kids how it's done".

Harmless, but completely forgettable. Maybe a 3/5 at best.

The reason this movie received such a high score is because Martin Liebman has a huge bias for "good, clean, family" comedies and has said so in many, many reviews. If something has too much "vulgar language", etc., then there's a much greater chance it will receive a low(er) score from him. After all, he seems to think the Blu-ray.com audience is primarily a church youth group and it's up to him to warn us if any movie/TV show/stand-up material is too "inappropriate".

United Kingdom Region Free?

Is there anyone from the UK who has imported this in early from DVDWorldUSA and the like? Have you tried it on a Region B player? I would like to get this and I know most Sony titles are Region Free. Thanks

Whenever I disagree with a rating, I just check the author (always the same one) and I can safely skip the rest of the review.

It has got to the point where I can recognize one of his reviews just by the score he gives to movies. He constantly overrates terrible movies and underrates good films.

Ah, I see. That explains a lot.

Reviews are subjective, so I'm not sure why this is a bad thing.

He's not being objective. He's rating using criteria that have nothing to do with the artistic merits of a film. It hurts the credibility of the site overall, at least in terms of film reviews.

Thankfully he doesn't get assigned any truly great films to review.

Are you serious? How old are you? I highly enjoyed this movie and I agree completely with the official reviewer and I am also one of those who think that a movie is not required to be vulgar in order to qualify for a comic movie. I don't understand why people like toilette humor this much. This is a perfectly well made movie with huge star cast. One of the best movies I have seen this year.

Same here. Please let me know if it plays on Region B players or if its Region A locked. Thanks.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I too raised an eyebrow at the gushing review on this site. With that said, I found Last Vegas to be terrific escapist entertainment. While it certainly won't be the highlight of any of the four main actors' careers, it's still a fun movie and well worth watching.

To the two posters above mine, I'm sorry to say that I don't know whether this Blu-ray is region-free, but I hope you've found an answer in the three years since this thread was last active.
