Default blade runner double feature October 5th 2017

both regal and cinemark are doing the double feature. I thought a separate thread would be good for this info..

My cinema isn't showing the original prior to the release of 2049, which breaks my heart. It surprises me because they had two very popular showings of it in 2015 (when it was re-released).

What I don't get is why none of the theaters listed for the double feature seem to be IMAX.

The IMAX version of Blade Runner is awesome and it seems like such a waste if that is really only limited to one night in six U.S. theaters (though personally, am glad I saw it theatrically that way than doing the double feature, with adding 2049's already long running time into the mix, that's a bit much for me).

Anyone know if Blade Runner is going to be a DCP or satellite?

Looks like the double-feature doesn't have IMAX for 2049 (at least from what I see right now), so this is a pass. Gonna watch the original at home in 4K, then go see the new one in IMAX.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense to have just recently created an IMAX version (and a good looking one at that with a great sound mix) of the original Blade Runner and then to not to do a double feature with that and 2049.

Maybe they figured the running time would turn some people off, or there are plans for an international double feature.
