None of the big players will be releasing anything next year that can top the 203. Oppo is a niche product that the large tech corps dont want, or need to compete with. There entire business strategy is lowering price while improving quality, but always staying in the middle of that equation. Where as Oppos strategy is to make the best player possible, price be damned. That said, the 2018 models from the big guys will no doubt be better, and id bet at least a handful have dolby. But yeah, they wont be oppo.

Clearly Samsung won't unless more Dolby vision content becomes available and forces their hand but it would be nice if Samsung did choose to only support Dolby Vision in their UHD players. |
