Default Could my PS4 be scratching my discs?

A couple weeks ago, I had the second disc of Boardwalk Empire season 4 skipping quite a bit on me once I got to the second episode. Checked the disc to discover very light scratching. Tried it on another player, only to have it skipping at the same points.

It was bought ages ago, so a replacement wasn't on the cards. Picked up a new copy, figured I'd chalk it up to bad luck.

Then, yesterday, I was watching the third disc of The Wire's 4th season, and again, the same issue - skipping at a certain point. I've checked the disc, and can't spot any noticeable scratches, so it looks like I'm boned.

Is it possible that it's the PS4 causing these issues, or am I being pedantic? Any help appreciated.
