So he was supposedly fired after bringing it to HR and offered hush money. Yeah, sue the shit out of all of them.

Really disappointed everyone assumes he is being entirely truthful when he has provided no evidence and decided to bring it up via twitter posts. Now if he was that is horrible, but i'm not going to go ahead and think any less of Sony or Naughty Dog when zero evidence has been provided. I have seen to many cases where people lie about something bad happening, as should everyone else to simply take there word on it and punish another party as a result.

That’s what I don’t understand. I’m not defend the people being accused but why is it that The so called victim never names names and never can provide evidence that it happen and why do they always wait years to come out about and it not press charges against anyone or sue when it happens?

Yeah personally I just see a possible former disgruntled employee that hasn't found work since trying to use the Weinstein stuff to make ND/Sony look bad. The biggest flaw in his claim to me is that he is claiming he rejected 20k in "hush money" which would imply intent to report it. Why would he not take 20k to keep silent only to keep silent so long for nothing? Then as you said why would he take to Twitter instead of lawyering up or something? He also seems to have some conflicting claims. On his website he lists himself as a ND employee to March but on Twitter is claiming he took this to HR in February and was fired the next day. If he is telling the truth then so be it but as you said anybody can make false claims and I don't know why people always feel the need to trust the little guy. Especially how pathetic people on a forum like NeoGaf get about it. One guy makes a Tweet and they buy right into it without question and ban anybody that disagrees. That is par for the course at Neogaf. The only view allowed is to match up with all the crappy moderators there.

I did not know the owner was such an a hole as well but it does not surprise me considering how poorly the place is, I mean was run.

this is gonna sound bad, but it is what it is....


back when i was in management, if someone was harassed by someone else, here's usually what transpired:

harassment
"don't do/say that"
harassment
"please don't do/say that"
"what are you gonna do?" (and possible other threats)
victim beats the shit out of guilty party

and that's how it was handled. granted, the harassment hardly ever came from anyone in management because those above were very strict about things like that and would just fire them on the spot. like my old operations director used to say, "if you have a cancer you don't move it around, you cut it the **** out and get rid of it."
so usually the harassment was between co-workers who were on the same level. and if i ever caught someone harassing someone else, i'd give them the choice of either leaving or getting their ass kicked. yep, it was like that. and i didn't care. you harass someone, you get what you deserve...up to and including threats.

we didn't play that shit at all.

of course today, you can't do anything like that 'cause then the person doing the harassing will get all "me feelings are hurt" and come back at you. but back then, it was very harsh (and worse) for the guilty party.

i miss when you could treat bad people like bad people and it was ok.



now all of this is to say that the people involved in this case are neither right nor wrong, i don't know. i don't have all of the facts so i can't make that call. but i'm just saying how it was handled. and...most times it was handled by the victim without it ever making it to anyone else. they just did what they thought they needed to do to make it stop.

That's not exactly a healthy way to handle harassment and abuse. There should have been a proper system in place for reporting harassment and punishing the harasser. Beating the crap out of someone isn't how you fix a harassment problem, it's vigilantism.
