Default Fantasy Filmfest Box 1 - English soundtracks? I can't figure it out!

I purchased an imported copy of this:

Which comes with the films: Wasting Away, Pontypool, and L'Auberge Rouge.

I mostly just wanted Pontypool and I wasn't able to find a reasonable import of the British release, which seems to be out of print. But I can't figure out how to listen to the English soundtrack?

I bought this because the product page both here and on Amazon and from the German Ebay seller from whom I purchased the disc, all say it has English soundtracks. The back cover also lists both German (Deutsch) and English (Englisch) soundtracks.

But when I put the disc in my player, it just pops up with a menu where you can pick one of the 3 movies to watch. After selecting one, it takes you straight into the movie, with a German soundtrack and no subtitles. The "Top Menu" button does nothing. The "Pop Up Menu" button brings up a little pop-up that has one option 'Hauptmenu' which take you back to the main movie selection menu.

The Audio & Subtitle buttons on my remote do not change anything.

I even changed my player's options for default audio to "English" instead of "Original", but it still plays in German.

Is there anything I didn't try yet to be able to make it switch languages, or is the packaging just a liar and it doesn't actually have English at all? In which case, I'm freaking pissed off, because I got screwed out of my money when everything says this disc has English!

translated Amazon comment says the same

and not even an original soundtrack is present, although this was announced on the cover. That's almost cheating on the gullible customer!

Bad news, you got screwed out of your money
None of the movies in this collection have English / Original soundtrack option.

Don't know why they did this as they are present on the single releases

I'd understand it for a budget release, but lying on the cover about is not ok

Thanks to both of you for commenting. I guess I'll just have to pick up the UK release some day. Is there also a Canadian release? I recently saw one listed somewhere that said it was a UK release, but all the text on the back was in French?
