Default Vizio Soundbar Volume Issue

I have a Vizio SB3651-E6 in my bedroom. It is connected to a TCL 43s405 via ARC. The HDMI channel 2 is connected to an LG 4k Blu-ray player. Most my usage is Netflix, although I have started watching UHDs more and more.

My current issue is that the louds are too loud and the softs are too soft when it comes to audio. I looked for some sort of compression/dynamic volume in the soundbar manual with little luck.

Right now, I have TruVolume (seems to do more with balancing the peak volume than compressing) on and Night (seems to only turn down the subwoofer) on. The EQ setting is set to Direct. I also bumped up the center channel and turned down the surrounds.

I am unsure of other strategies to address this. On my main set up, which includes a Denon 2200, I would just use Dynamic Volume on Light.

Thanks for your thoughts!
