I believe an insider commented that the Lethal Weapon series is being looked at for re-release as "optimized for Blu-ray". It will be the directors cut this time and with better sound.

I also would like to know of any impending double dips.

I have been holding off on T3 since it has shitty sound (no DTS) and I am glad I did since it was mistakenly released in 1080i instead of 1080p. But I think we might see a new release of T3 when the T4 becomes released on Blu-ray.

I also think Stargate and Total Recall are screaming for better versions as well.

I would say to stay clear of Blu's that don't include any of the standard DVD supplements as a strategy to avoid double dips. And also ones with lame HD audio support.
