I don't care about the artwork. Not when a masterpiece is being released on blu-ray by a company who knows how to release their back catalogue, and a film that will have undergone a spectacular restoration. This is supreme news! Bring on the pre-order!

Exact date TBC, however it will be released in 2012, most likely the early part.

Artwork above is not final, however clearly indicates it will be part of the Sony Collector's Edition series.

Will update the thread whenever more info or an exact release day is confirmed.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! My 2nd favourite movie of all time finally finally finally

I hope the film is on one disc and not spread over 2.

Hmmm, you know, I wouldn't mind so much. I guess for me, with a film as visually stunning as Lawrence, I'd rather not sacrifice the bitrate for the convenience of a single disc.

And really, it has a perfect break, at the intermission of course. And given that part 1 is much longer than part 2, it might work nicely to have part 1 all to itself on disc 1, then part 2 on disc two along with any bonus features.

That'll probably happen like it always does. The studios probably think we're not interested in packaging like that or whatever.

I've heard nothing but good things about this film, cant wait to see it. 2 out of the already 9 released from this sony collection have been two discs. On a different note - How many releases are there going to be in this specific collection
