Default iPod/Walkman Bluetooth adapter and PS3?

Anyone know if one of these would allow your Walkman or iPod to link to the PS3?

Not unless you can select them as an Audio Input Device (like you would a bluetooth microphone/headset for voice comms) and even then you're limited to staying in certain parts of the XMB to get audio output. If an input device is expected to be mono voice through a microphone and bluetooth bandwidth is limited around that you may have problems with audio quality.

Walkman trademarks were added to Settings > System Settings > About PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) with System Software 2.10 but so far nobody's found why they were added as far as I know.

I'll have to check that out. I plan on getting the new 810 series walkman, so I'll see if it somehow works with the PS3 without the Bluetooth adapter.

Well, I plugged my new Walkman into the PS3 via USB and the Walkman logo popped up! Very cool. The PS3 found all the stuff on the rootdrive, but not the MP3s for some reason. I am going to have to figure that one out...
