Default Vudu question?

Do they normally have a Black Friday sale? If this is in the wrong section I'm sorry

Here is a copy and paste of a post about those sales, not yet active, but once they are, the selection will load (for now, you can click the links, but they don't load the sales items yet)

Actually no, they don't. Last year they did nothing for Black Friday and nothing for Cyber Monday. This year they're actually doing something. We'll see how those sales turn out when they go live on Tuesday.

The good thing is with Movies Anywhere there might be good sales at Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play that we can also take advantage of. I think there will be better sales from Amazon and iTunes than on Vudu but we will see.

I have another Vudu question-- anyone else have stuff they bought in HDX that does not display in HDX on an iPad or iPhone? I bought Quantum Leap and the Office in the recent sale and they both come up only SD. Wouldn't have bought them if I knew they'd only play in SD on my iPad...

I'm assuming you are a Movies Anywhere or it at least ported over to iTunes from VUDU? I currently have 6 movies that show in SD, only 3 should. Unfortunately iTunes rep (who is supposedly a supervisor) I'm dealing with is pretty much blowing me off. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a iTunes issue, not a VUDU one.

Those are TV shows, not Movies Anywhere compatible.

Vudu's iOS app streams in both HD and SD but the studio/distributor chooses if you can watch in HD. A few choose to only allow SD.

So shows like the Office and Quantum leap are only in SD on iPad etc? They should state that upfront. Had I know I wouldn't have bothered. And yes, this was not Movies Anywhere, just a straight Vudu purchase. I feel robbed...

Quantum Leap shows up in HDX on my Android 2K screen tablet. That sucks about the iPad. Hopefully Vudu updates that later.

Am I the only one who hates the Watch Later feature? It only works for paused videos as far as I can tell. It'd be nice if you can choose what you want to watch later and the next ep/movie shows up in a series.
