Not interested. Release the double use your illusion show from Japan and then you have my attention. GnR ended in 1993, some would even say sooner.

I will be definitely be picking this up and I saw them when this show came to Orlando with Tekka of this forum. This was my first outing with GNR but Tekka has seen them numerous times. Damn good loud show, there are some seriously talented people in this band and you damn get your money's worth.

If you go see GNR live just call in sick at work the next day because you aren't getting home until well into the next morning. I feel as most people will post a negative concert review of one of GNR's shows because they left early which I really can't take those reviews seriously. You definitely get your moneys worth!

+1. Seen them in 2011 and enjoyed it thoroughly. Obviously, I would liked to have seen the original lineup, but anyone who thinks they would sound better at this point is delusional.

I'm actually seeing the show in Vegas in two weeks (mostly because a buddy really wants to). Reviews seem to be fairly positive for the experience despite being modern day GNR instead of the classic lineup. I guess if I like the show enough I'll pick up this Blu-ray.

Yeah, I wore those VHS tapes out when they were released. I also never bought the Illusion albums on CD but had the cassette tapes and wore those out. I think I will order the CDs right now.

I saw them in Houston a few years ago and they put on an amazing show. If you give them a shot I think you'll be glad you did. As much as I love the old band, I don't see how they could have put on a better show.

Seen classic GNR with The Rolling Stones in 89, Skid Row in 91, and Metallica in 92. No interest in the new GNR.

The new GNR is better than the old GNR. They are literally the perfect band.

I'm still contemplating going to Las Vegas this month or early next month to see them perform live. Yes, it would be worth the 500-700ish dollars needed to go there and come back. Almost every single time I have seen them , the concert ended up being about 7-9 hours long. They play EVERYTHING and give you more than your monies worth. They are the best of the best. There are no mistakes and everyone is playing to their maximum ability.

The first time I saw them (Halloween 2006) people were complaining about how they had to work the next day and would leave because it was 2-3am and the band would not stop playing. Axl would just keep going back stage to negotiate and agree to pay the unions and people working the venue insane amounts of overtime pay in exchange for more time on stage. When all was said and done, it ended up being 9 hours worth of music because each of the four bands were given tons of time to play their catalogs. I remember leaving the arena at nearly 4am.

This video doesn't even begin to describe how LOUD and clear the audio is. Everything everywhere seems to explode when the band starts playing. It is amazing. Whoever they have as their sound guy is superb and they give him a disgustingly massive sound system.

Are you basing that off the live show which I haven't seen so I can't judge that. The show in early 92? with Metallica was awesome. The new studio stuff seems lame.

I would like to see some of the old shows released on BD. I have a Paris show on LD. Still have Appetite and both Illusions on vinyl.

Guns n Roses Orlando Welcome to the Jungle - YouTube
Then you'd go when the came back to Florida then again in the small venue shows.

Remember that night after the show how I said I wanted a GNR Blu-ray.

I am basing this on the new concerts and the old. The new band is better all around and you leave loving them.

Just goes to show so much ignorance from people

I've seen this band 6 times (as of Tuesday) since 2011 and all of the shows have been great. Going to the last 3 shows in Vegas in June as well and can't wait! Hoping this actually comes out this time as it's been delayed for going on the last year or so.

I'm a hardcore Guns N' Roses fan and I can tell you this is worthless and nobody should waste $10 in this, let alone $17.49. Axl doesn't sound anything like before. Regardless of who's in the band, there's no need for anyone to have this as a "Guns N' Roses experience".

The show they're releasing is from 2012. Axl sounded good up until 2010. Go to YouTube and stream some videos from both years and decide for yourself.

How can a band that have been together for so long but haven't recorded one single song can be better than the band who wrote, recorded and performed AFD, Lies and both UYIs?

If you love Chinese Democracy, two of the guitarists who performed in that album are long gone as well. So, what's to love about this "perfect band"? Other than covering what other people wrote note-by-note? You tell me, because I sincerely find nothing, really.

I guess you saw Guns N' Roses back in the day? What shows did you attend?

You've not heard Chinese Democracy? It is a good album, which makes sense in light of changing influences and styles of music coming and going over the years in which it was written and recorded. Most of the hate for it comes from people who just want the EXACT same things they heard before (ACDC anyone? ), but that ain't gonna happen. GNR is a band which went from doing straight up hard rock like Appetite to multi album works of art like the use your illusion albums. The band and all its incarnations have changed in different ways over the years and that is cool. Change and experimentation is not bad.

Some of the stuff that Axl and the other band members are doing goes right over people's heads. They don't immediately recognize the really neat stuff which they are paying homages to. On songs like Madagasgar, Axl is straight up doing a Tina Turner homage and it works.
