Default Paramount - TV On HD DVD

TVShowsOnDVD has posted a couple of bits from a Video Business article (evidently made before yesterday's news) regarding Paramount's TV on HD DVD plans.

Star Trek on HD DVD

C.S.I. on HD DVD

My favorite quote would have to be from the "Star Trek" story:

Quote:
The label predicts that its first high-definition release, the Nov. 20 HD DVD release of Star Trek: Season One, will reach 100,000 units sold.

Paramount had Trek in the works long before the Bribe (and only opted for HD first so they could cross-market the Combo disks), and promised Blu codings "eventually", based on sales--

After-Warner should make for some interesting copy, but we'll still have to wait for expiration/surrender before Paramount can go ahead with Blu Trek.
