'No Country for Old Men' - what's going on with pre-orders? - Blu-ray Forum

The pre-order was up for 1-day on amazon.com and taken off. Now, dvdempire.com preorder was taken off just today. Does anyone know what's going on? Should we be worried?

Normally i wouldn't be concerned but the Disney/Buena Vista's pre-CES press release did not include this title. Maybe Buena Vista is about to announce some more blu-ray titles. Here's to hoping!

We all saw this from last month...prebook is Jan. 15.
It's just strange that the preorders were up and taken down.

Hopefully...nothing has changed.

I am sure it is still going to get released being that it was pretty big, but maybe they are pushing the date back a little. You can never tell when it is this far away.

amazon.com has been very messed up lately with thier preorders. They will put it up for a day or so then take it down for awhile then put it back up OR they wont put it up until a couple days before release. They still dont have master and commander, me, myself and irene and a few other ones i want to preorder. IF they dont want my money thats fine, im sure bestbuy would take it with open arms. at least then i get my movies immediately and not have to wait till thursday sometimes to get my new releases

Found this in the new Home Media Magazine. Looks like it's still coming out on schedule.

CD Universe has it available for March 11 preorder. Of course, you guys know that titles can get delayed anytime between now and then. That's NORMAL for a new format.

It's still playing in some theaters. When they announced the release date they hadn't anticipated on it having this long of a theatrical run.
Now it has been removed from pre-order status as a courtesy to the cinemas still showing it.
