Default Is it possible for HD-DVD to sell to Blu-Ray?

By this I mean is it possible that HD-DVD will not sell-out to the Blu-Ray group?

Let's face it all the companies involved are in it for the money, and if it is now determined they can do it with one format, do you think it possible HD-DVD group sell their name, their contract rights to the Blu-Ray group? They may at least be able to cut their losses, gain a portion of the money back.

From what I understand your question to be, I doubt that the BDA would be interestedin the proprietary IP of any HD DVD patents, with the exception of interactivity through the net.

The Trademarks will be reviled soon enough, with no goodwill. The manufacturing processes are entirely different and have been pretty much finalized.

I just don't see a point. If it would be to end the war early. Maybe. However, the writing is on the wall. Any HD DVD enthusiast will have to switch if they want HDM, the question is if the BDA is willing to wait.
