Hard Boiled would be the logical choice as I see Hard Target being an overlooked, poor transfer sub-$10 Walmart release

Hard Boiled, there's already a definitive HD version master made by those lovely folks at HK video in france. Alas for all we know, no one will ask and buy this one the US release will be an ugly, subpar HD upconvert instead.

Hard Target director's cut exists in European DVD Region 2, so probably, the US will get a 15 bucks SRP release of the same cut to ribbons version you had for years on BD. The European version will be the longer cut and will be heavily imported.

might initial response was hard boiled but i realized hard target had the best chance of actually being done right, and damn that movie is a guilty pleasure of mine.
