The Bluray release for the Night of the Scorpion will be $25.00, the presale version will include a color booklet of poster and release pictures, from both Spain, and Italy... with some interesting observations about the movie etc. We have a great audio commentary track and some more really cool trailers going on the disc. More details on Monday.

"Night of the Scorpion" will be made available for presale starting next Monday, we will run the sale for a couple of weeks, if the numbers are good during the presale we will add a couple of extras currently not available for the street release that you should like.
The presale will just be posted on our website and the purchasing should be much easier this time around. We will post the final particulars of content and price etc. over the weekend if not before.

Dorado mentioned on FB that they'd extend the pre sale for SCORPION through the end of the week ( it was up for the last couple weeks ).
I don't see it on their website now, just the new Euro Crime set....

Got mine yesterday and watched NOTS - decent little Spanish giallo, greatly enhanced by the presence of the beautiful Daniela Giordano. The source print, though....not so beautiful.

The 35mm print used for the Blu-ray looks worn and the colors are faded. There was no restoration work done according to the note on the case...and it looks like it. Thankfully, there isn't too much actual damage to the print used. It may possibly be the best existing 35mm print still in existence for the longer English language cut, who knows? I've seen worse, but the transfer won't win any accolades.

All of the extra nudity that was exclusive to the English language cut of the film is intact however, which is all absent from the shorter Spanish cut of the film. The nudity was shot specifically for the export versions. The Spanish cut of the film (not included on this release) is incredibly tame compared to this version.

The audio commentary with giallo expert Troy Howarth is quite enlightening, and the bonus trailers on the disc are certainly a hoot to watch. I'd never even heard of most of those films before.

I would still thoroughly recommend the disc despite the misgivings regarding the transfer. It's a superb Spanish "giallo" of the period.

Correct. Since it's the longer "uncensored" English export cut of the film, there apparently never was a Spanish audio track synced to it.
