I admire the spirit of the HD DVD faithful

Even through these difficult times, their spirit endures on. It's sweet. No, really....it is.

Some fan boys think that $99 players can save the ailing format. Others think the combo discs sold at SD-DVD prices are the answer and when Cheapy McTighwad is ready to upgrade all his/her movies will work on their new HD-DVD players! Easy-Peasy!!

Some even swear to write-off the evil galactic overlord Sony boasting that they will never buy a Blu-ray player and vow to go back to SD-DVD just to spite the giant.

Pathetic.

Why can't they accept that HD DVD can't pull through this and just support Blu-ray as the successor to DVD? Don't they want to see high definition move past a niche format? I think even the Blu faithful, had the shoe been on the other foot, would of looked past the format war and worked to accept one single HDM.
