Default History's Hunting Hitler

It just aired it's 2nd episode last night. After 2 episodes I'm convinced that Hitler didn't commit suicide and split to Argentina instead.

I am not a history buff and never really cared about history growing up, but this show has me. It a great show. Anyone else watching?

For what ever reason my DVR failed to record episode 2!

I really enjoyed episode 1 and as a WWII history buff I find it very intriguing that he may have escaped to S. America. In ep. 1 they bring up and find some very interesting evidence.

I look forward to seeing the rest of the episodes.

Don't ever the The History Channel convince you of anything.

I love shows like this. I'll check it out when it hits Netflix.

There are some pretty convincing arguments. The more the show go's on. The more I believe no one knew sh*t about Hitlers suicide. His skull was tested and came back as one from a 30 year old woman, to whom his wife fits the description perfectly. The skull also had a bullet hole in it. If Hitler poisoned himself. Why would there be a bullet hole? Watch the show.

Ep 1 was the worst and most boring of all the fake history investigator shows.

No, they haven't proved anything. There was a coin with a swastika on it saying that there were Nazi's in Argentina.

This conspiracy theory has been floating around for a long time. That's because the Soviet Union at the time was so secretive and they destroyed a lot of their own evidence including cementing over the bunker and scattering Hitler's ashes in a river in 1970.

Let me put it to you this way. Eva Braun was 33 years old. Their bodies were burned together by Soviet soldiers. In the bunker area, a lot of people were killed. It doesn't mean that Hitler didn't kill himself and escaped to Argentina at all. It just means there was a lot of contamination at the scene, destruction of evidence, and the fog of war that played a large role in questions that can never be fully answered to a small number of folks' satisfaction.

The History Channel, Discovery, and National Geographic channels have pretty much destroyed their own credibility in a race for ratings.

While it's fun to ponder and examine the circumstances behind Hitler's demise, I can guarantee you the writers aren't being totally honest in their presentation of the facts. They're in it for the views.

I thought the new guy in charge of Discovery was putting an end to the pseudohistory stuff?

There are actual professionals who have made it a side hobby to deconstruct and debunk History Channel programs. Their writings are fun to read.

This show is a step up from the one they aired back in the spring with the 2 Boston brothers who set off across America to find proof that a race of human giants used to live here. I kid you not, that was the premise.

Hitler didn't commit suicide, he fled Germany and later managed the Burger King that Elvis worked at.

Sad but true. I blame it on the success of Ancient Aliens.

Anyone else still keeping up with this show?

Season two is now a couple episodes in and to me it's still very compelling. I would tend to think a power hungry person such as Hitler is not going to go out shooting himself if he had viable options of escape and regroup.

The reason I don't tend to think this is the same as ancient aliens or the many others is because this uses FBI, MI6, Russian and basically all declassified intelligence from the times.

The History Channel just solved the mystery of DB Cooper!!!!

And by solving the mystery...I mean doing an interview with an FBI agent who says the agency is officially closing the case.

...with no definitive knowledge of what actually happened to DB Cooper.

Yes i have been watching and find it entertaining enough. While it may not be Hitler it definitely looks like there were plenty of top Nazi's living in hiding in South America after the war.
