From Mill Creek’s Retro VHS cover line comes Alan Rudolph’s underrated, underseen gem with a terrific slate of performances (dramatic and music-wise) from a great cast. The label might not be the purists’ choice but this has been a long-sought title and since no one else has provided it, this will have to do (and hopefully be among their better releases.)

Sitting in the Saenger in Mobile, Alabama for Kristofferson’s show last week, I mentioned on the break that this was long overdue for a Blu and days later, the news was here. Fans of the cast who haven’t seen should consider this recommended; it has a wonderful vibe all of its own like the best of Rudolph’s work.
