I've recently upgraded to 4K capability by buying a 65" 4K OLED TV (Panasonic) and a 4K disc player (also Panasonic). I'm using modern high-speed HDMI leads.
My Denon receiver can accept and route 4K inputs. I have one HDMI lead going from the 4K player to the receiver and one from the receiver to the HDMI2 input on the TV. So as far as I know, I've connected everything correctly. The problem is that, when I'm playing a 4K disc, a thin vertical white line is being displayed down the extreme right-hand side of the screen. This doesn't happen when I play a Blu-ray disc. I don't know whether this is also an issue but, when I load a 4K disc, the briefly displayed indicator at the top left of the screen is showing 1080p. Should it not be showing 2160p? So has anyone come across this problem with the white line on 4K discs? I'm wondering whether I need to change a setting somewhere. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! |
