Richard P. Rubinstein owns the rights, and he’s apparently asking an insane amount of cash to license it.
He made a serious financial error by investing (wasting) $6 million on converting DOTD to 3D, which most of us couldn’t care less about. It’s believed that he wants to recoup at least a majority of that cash, which would make the licensing costs too high for any studio that would want it. So to answer your question, it’s not looking likely. |
