Default iTunes 3D Movies

I started to compile a list of 3D movies available on iTunes via Apple Vision Pro.

https://www.blu-ray.com/community/li...292773&id=6409

Let me know if you have some showing for you, that might not be showing in the main list on iTunes (Apple TV app)

I can't confirm them myself, but others have mentioned Migration (2023) and The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019).

I just checked the individual listings and those two are showing as 2D only still.
I would think Angry Birds 2 might be coming since the first one is in 3D.

There is something going on because the Star Trek ones were there at launch then removed, then added back again. Same with Angry Birds 2 now only showing 2D, someone on reddit said the same thing.

I think they are still having issues. When I first got the Vision Pro it would ask if I wanted to play in 3D or 2D but then only play in 2D. They fixed that with the latest update.

I called about a separate issue and they said they are working on a fix for movies you don’t have in 3D. Either allowing repurchase or upgrade or (hopefully) just upgrading them with the 3D. But they have no timeline. The rep did say the more people that report it the higher priority it will become.

Apologies. Very basic question …
If you own a physical copy (3DBR) of a 3D movie that is also available on the Apple Vision Pro via iTunes, do you have to buy it again via iTunes or is there a way to verify your previous purchase of the movie on blu ray and not have to repurchase?

You have to buy it again directly through iTunes - unless the included digital copy code has a direct iTunes redemption option.

You might want to double check Aquaman 2…as I reported on the AVP Hardware thread, this movie only plays in 2D regardless of which version you select or method of purchase….rumor is this might be corrected once the 4k version is released on 3/12 but that is mere speculation…others can feel free to verify but you have been warned!

I don't own that movie yet, so I can't confirm.
I did add the comment to the list that the 3D isn't working. Thanks!

Excellent thanks

In a way this list makes me happy. I either own or have seen almost all of the movies that I would be interested in. There's a relatively small number that I haven't seen but I would be interested in seeing. One of them is Aquaman 2 which I've heard and seen from above doesn't work yet.

A very good real life comparison between the AVP & Quest 3…

Wow, that’s insane. That’s basically every 3d movie that I can think of. From cheap horror films to big blockbusters that haven’t been released on disc. But unfortunately the AVP is going to suffer from the fact that there won’t be that many new releases in the future. Apple should produce their own 3d content for Apple TV +

How much does each movie cost?

I think it's great there are so many but I'm curious of the cost associated with basically having to re-buy my 3D collection in iTunes.

Many of the non-Disney films frequently go on sale for $4.99, and many of the Disney films frequently go on sale for $9.99

What inaccuracies? I check this list often and have always been able to rely on it.

Too numerous to list all of them but…

Harold & kumar extended? Nope!

Aquaman 2? Nope!

Avatar extended? Nope

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Hint: virtually all of the “extended/unrated” versions are not in 3D!

Also anyone know how I can sort this list alphabetically? Right now I have to manually drag them and it only lets me move them up about five rows at a time.

Default FREE 3D on APPLE VsionPro!

Looks like Apple is providing several top tier movies in 3D at no cost to AppleTv+ subscribers!

Currently Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Edge of Tomorrow, Star Trek Beyond, Star Trek Into Darkness, Gravity, Mad Max Fury Road are available!

Are you sure you’re watching on an Apple visionPro?
