Default Sony XBR-65A1E OLED Ultra HDTV Review

"LCD/LEDs might still lead the show in peak brightness, price, and the sheer selection of models available to buyers. But OLEDs make for more than worthy competition, and for those who like what they see from them, Sony has now made your buying choices harder with the superb A1E."

You summed it up nicely.

On another note, I love Sound and Vision and Tom Norton is one of my very favorite TV reviewers.

Just ordered a 65" A1E from Value Electronics with the break-in and cal package, can't wait to get it in.

Just couldn't pass on the Sony X1 processing and their MotionFlow tech, it's just better than what I have experienced with my LG OLEDs.

My panel has started the 10-day break in and then will be calibrated and shipped from VE.

Looks like the A1E is getting calibrated soon at Value Electronics, should have it the week of the 12th I guess.

Hopefully get the charts in soon.

I owned an LG E6 done by them previously, looked gorgeous.

Just got my charts in from Value Electronics after the break-in and calibration. Should have my set soon. Here are the Cinema Pro Dark, Cinema Pro HDR, and Custom Bright results. Can't wait to watch it.

Got the toy in today and got it set up. Gonna double check all my settings and inputs and then enjoy some content.
It showed up with 250+ hours on it, which was Value Electronics breaking it in before the calibration. What a well designed and sturdy tv. I was worried about the kickstand, but no more, it's a lovely flat panel.

Netflix DV, like Bright and Altered Carbon, look great coming from the ATV 4K using their calibrators recommended settings for HDMI In DV.

No regrets downsizing and going back to OLED. This A1E is a gorgeous display, with excellent processing and motion.

Watched It Chapter One last weekend, HDR image was great.
